- Acted as primary incident controller for the site, liaising with security, incident response team, emergency services and senior disaster management team.
- Completed a manual handling and DSE assessment programme
- Managed a behavioural and cultural safety programme focused on human factors and the management/workforce relationship. We trained over eighty staff from directors to shop floor workers.
- Worked in partnership with biomedical experts to propose a new Worker Exposure Limit for a respiratory sensitizer. Although not fully endorsed by the HSE many other companies are now following this lead.
- Prepared for and participated in an HSE site audit. This resulted in very few findings and complementary remarks on the overall safety provision.
- Prepared for and participated in both corporate and external bio safety, and general safety audits resulting in commendation for he level of safety provision, compliance and documentation.
- Instigated a safety award system for construction workers involved in building and refurbishment work.
- Effective management and promotion of the importance of reporting accident and incidents resulted in a healthy accidents triangle with very few serious incidents
